Read How to Prepare for the California Bar Exam and Be Successful

Bar examinations in the U.S are tough and not easy to pass; so law students go through a hard time preparing for it. In fact, the California Bar exam is the toughest for which a lot of hard work and preparation is required. This is why; most students opt for a preparatory course that will guide them and provide them the study materials required to prepare well for the examination.

Tips for Passing the Bar Exam

The first step in doing well in the CA Bar exam is to join the California Bar exam preparation course. It is foolhardy to take the exam without a prep course. Start early and follow the course instructions carefully. Since, the examination is both general and State-specific, it is extensive. Hence, it is important to space out your preparation instead of ‘binge studying.’ The California Bar exam prep gives due importance to performance tests which should be practiced thoroughly. Allot enough time for the MBE and practice a lot of challenging questions generally asked in this section and then take a simulator. Expect to get questions on new subjects. For example, in the February 2015 MBE, there were questions on civil procedure and federal jurisdiction.

Bar Exam Results

The California Bar exam results are generally put up in the website of the California State Bar. Only the names of passed candidates are listed; so, if your name is not in the list, you can repeat the exam another time. For example, if you took the February 2016 examination and was not successful, you should have applied by May 13, 2016 to take the July 2016 repeat exam. If you missed the date, you can still apply by paying a late fee. Unsuccessful candidates will be mailed the details of your performance in the various sections of the examination. However, successful candidates are not given this information.
